Description

Interview with Hank Stolz:
To me, the classic look of the mike symbolizes the time when WTAG would have been in the same building with the “Telegram” and the “Evening Gazette”, when you had the big studios, the orchestras, and everything was live. It was so community-driven, when concerts were broadcast from White City and everyone involved at the station and on the air was local. I love the whole feel of that mike and the way it represents the technology of a time when things seemed to be simpler and more innocent. But when you think about all of the political conversations we’re having today, all of the stories that are going on, they were also happening in the Thirties and Forties on WTAG.
