Description

Interview with Caitlin McCarthy:
"Eat at Ralph's & Live Forever" is the slogan of
Ralph's Rock Diner. The place is certainly immortal for Worcesterites. How many friendships and romances have been forged over burgers and chili in the diner, drinks in the main bar area, or dancing upstairs to a band? If you haven't cried at least once over a guy/gal in the parking lot, you're still a newbie. Give it time.
Ralph's is so iconic, and so important to me, that I once had photos for a magazine spread taken there. A big-time Hollywood exec saw the pictures and emailed me the following: "I'm from Worcester and, more importantly, I used to be a regular at Ralph's." A connection was made, from three thousand miles away, thanks to this place.
Ralph's one-of-a-kind namesake Ralph Moberly lives on through this funky establishment. Vincent Hemmeter, former bartender turned owner, carries the torch -- and has put his own touches on this classic Worcester destination. I carry memories from Ralph's in my heart, and have passed them down to the next generation in my family.
