OUR CITY. OUR HISTORY
We are surrounded by objects every day. They are familiar and material, but we often take for granted the power they exert to shape our sense of identity, place, and meaning. “Our city. Our history…Worcester in 50 Objects” asks us to step back and ponder a collective expression of local history through a range of ordinary objects shared and described by a broad spectrum of city residents. Taken together, this collective narration of our civic past is an occasion to acknowledge our connections and diversity, and to recognize our joint stake in Worcester yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
